He also serves on the main board of directors of IFPI, the English National Opera and as a Trustee for the EMI Music Sound Foundation. Max has been involved with the careers of artists including Bon Jovi, Juanes, Enrique Iglesias, Daniel Barenboim, Girls’ Generation, Alejandro Sanz, Lionel Richie, Sting and Sa Dingding. Max began his music industry career as an independent artist manager and record producer.
Marc Geiger is the head of William Morris Endeavor’s (WME) music department. Under his oversight, WME’s industry-leading music division booked over 22,000 live shows worldwide in 2010 and garnered 106 Grammy nominations in 2011. His diverse client roster includes artists such as David Byrne, The Flaming Lips, Jack White, Caifanes, Jane’s Addiction, Lady Gaga, Nine Inch Nails, Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Pixies, Roger Waters, Ryuichi Sakamoto among many others. He has spent 14 years growing businesses in the Media industry with roles across content verticals (entertainment, music, sports and news) and regions (Europe and Asia Pacific). Prior to Google, Anthony worked for traditional media companies in Europe, such as Time Warner and Lagardere, as Sales and Business Development Manager. He earned his MBA at Kellogg School of Management and HKUST, and his Master's degree at ESSEC Paris.
Atul Churamani joined the Indian music industry in 1987 and has worked with music labels like CBS Gramophone Records and Tapes (I) Ltd., Magnasound India Ltd, Virgin Records and Saregama India Ltd. He has held several portfolios at these labels from International Music Manager to A&R and Marketing Director. He has been closely associated with the development of the Indian pop music scene and the establishing of the digital and music publishing businesses for the industry. He has been on the board of the Indian Performing Rights Society and the Phonographic Performance Ltd. Atul is currently Head of Content at OnMobile Global Limited, India’s leading VAS company.
Benjy Grinberg, Founder and President of Rostrum Records,a Pittsburgh-based independent label and management company with a diverse roster including Grammy Award nominee Wiz Khalifa, Leon Thomas, Vali, Mac Miller, Donora, Boaz and Teammate. Grinberg started the company in 2003 from his apartment, and has grown Rostrum into one of the most successful independent music companies in the industry. Due to its innovative digital savvy, Rostrum has helped formulate a new and much needed model for independent labels. In 2011, Rostrum and Mac Miller made history with "Blue Slide Park,"" which was the first independent album to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart since 1995 (and only the 2nd album in history to do so), selling 144,000 copies in its first week. After working as a Forex Trader in Los Angeles for 6 years, Gumilang decided to move back to Indonesia on 1990. With his friends, he establish an Artist Management company called ‘The Art Circle’ as Marketing Director. In 1992, Gumilang established independent label company called KAMA Records. Gumilang joined BMG Indonesia in 1994 as an A&R Director then in 1999 he become General Manager, focusing on local department and sales division. Until 2001 he was Managing Director at BMG. In early 2005, Gumilang joined PT. Musica Studio’s as a Managing Director. Musica is one of Indonesia’s largest record companies which were incorporated in 1970. Since 2005, Musica turned in to a Music Company, no longer a label company.
Haji Taniguchi was born in Tokyo in 1960. After graduating from Belmont University, Nashville TN, USA, with a BA in Commercial Music, he entered the music business with Sony Music Publishing Japan in 1986. Since joining Avex Group in 1994, he has been responsible for international and intellectual property strategies, among other things. He is currently President of Avex Music Publishing Inc., Chairman of the Music Publishers Association of Japan (MPAJ) and Vice-Chairman of Foundation for Promotion of Music Industry and Culture (PROMIC).
Lee Trink is President of Dare Mighty Entertainment focusing on artist management as well as creating and executing media and theatrical properties. Trink’s roster includes Kid Rock and Uncle Kracker. Recently he released a tribute album for the King of Thailand and co-produced the Denzel Washington film Unstoppable. Jasper began his career in advertising in 1987 in London before joining pan-European sports broadcaster Eurosport. Thousands of attendees rocked Digital & Music Matters in Singapore 20-24 May, including almost 10,000 at the Music Matters Live with HP festival over three nights and over 2,500 participants at the YouTube FanFest with HP and Digital & Music Matters conferences. At the conference we had 140 speakers, over 120 journalists, 30+ sponsors, 80+ media and industry association partners from close to 400 companies from 30 countries.
